A paper sewing pattern by Sewgirl to make a fabulous pair of relaxed style dungarees, simple to make, loose fitting, pull on dungarees with straps, button fastening and lots of pockets to store all your stuff, in all sizes from 8-22.
A KIT option is also available on this listing which includes the pattern, fabric (dark 8oz denim), two wooden buttons, thread and a hand printed Sewgirl label. Just select this option from the drop down button.
If you would like to save on postage or get on with the project asap, a digital PDF download version is available on a separate listing.
This project would be great for an adventurous beginner. The techniques include laying and cutting out the pattern, making straps, buttonholes, topstitching, patch pockets and attaching a facing, so nothing too tricky. If making a button hole puts you off, you could always use a dungaree clasp,
There is an option to select a pattern and two dungaree clasps and buttons option on the drop down button.
Suitable fabrics for making Doris are 8oz denim, cotton, linen and linen mixes (on this Etsy shop) or needlecord would be nice too.
